Clydesdale Bank U19 League Champions – Celtic

Celtic have claimed the Clydesdale Bank U19 League title for the third year in a row after nearest rivals Hearts were beaten 2-0 by Hibernian on Saturday.  Hearts had to take something from their final match of the season to have any chance of toppling Tommy McIntyre and John Kennedy's side but an impressive campaign ended in disappointment as Hibs took the points with goals from Sam Stanton and Ross Caldwell.

Celtic are a point clear with three matches to play, including two Old Firm derbies, and on Sunday Celtic also progressed to the final of the SFA Youth Cup as they defeated defeated St Mirren 4-1 in their semi-final clash at St Mirren Park.  McIntyre told the club website: "It's really difficult having games in hand, that's always a big ask, but the players went on and won all their games with a bit of style so I'm really delighted for them."

In the weekends other games, Josh Robinson hit a hat-trick as Rangers beat Motherwell 6-1 at Murray Park.  Adel Gafaiti, Robbie Crawford and Jamie Burrows were also on target for Billy Kirkwood's side before Lee Erwin pulled one back for the visitors late on.  Cameron Smith bagged a brace and Declan McManus got the other with his 13th goal of the season as Aberdeen won 3-1 away to Dundee United.

Kilmarnock beat Dunfermline Athletic 3-0 thanks to goals from Chris Johnston, Matthew Kennedy and Mark Taylor while it was 1-1 between Inverness C.T. and St Johnstone.  Liam Polworth broke the deadlock for Caley Thistle but Kudus Oyenuga equalised for Saints four minutes later.
Congratulations to everyone involved with Celtic U19s in another impressive Clydesdale Bank U19 League win.
