Rangers v Motherwell - Saturday 12.45pm - Live on Sky Sports
Rangers have won the last eight meetings of the sides and Motherwell haven’t won at Ibrox since Owen Coyle’s double in May 1997. While Rangers were comprehensively beaten at Celtic Park last weekend they responded well with a midweek win against Dundee United. They’re set to be without Sasa Papac for the remainder of the season through injury. With a Champions League spot now assured after United’s midweek defeat, Motherwell boss Stuart McCall may bring in some youngsters.
Kilmarnock v Aberdeen
Aberdeen are stepping up efforts to sign out-of contract Inverness C.T. winger Jonny Hayes and ‘keeper Jamie Langfield has signed a new two-year deal. Kilmarnock are struggling for strikers, with Paul Heffernan definitely out and Dieter van Tornhout and Dean Shiels doubtful. Two of the three meetings this season have ended drawn, with Killie winning the other game. The last three meetings of the clubs at Rugby Park have ended in 2-0 wins for Killie. Kilmarnock skipper Manuel Pascali has agreed a new three-year contract at the club.
St Mirren v Inverness Caledonian Thistle
St Mirren have defender Marc McAusland available after suspension and manager Danny Lennon has said he wants to open contract talks with Dutch pair Nigel Hasselbaink and Jeroen Tesselaar, but midfielder Steven Thomson is leaving at the end of the season to become a financial adviser. Inverness C.T. have winger Jonny Hayes available after missing the midweek game against Dunfermline through suspension. Caley Thistle are unbeaten in the last five meetings of the sides and Andrew Shinnie has scored in both their victories over the Paisley side this season.
Dundee United v Celtic – Sunday 12.45pm – Live on Sky Sports
Dundee United have lost nine of their last ten meetings with Clydesdale Bank Premier League champions Celtic, including all four so far this season, and manager Peter Houston will ring the changes after the midweek defeat at Ibrox. Celtic are again without hamstring injury victims Ki Sung-Yeung and winger James Forrest.
Hearts v St Johnstone – Sunday 3.00pm
Hearts midfielders Ian Black and Adrian Mrowiec will leave the Tynecastle side at the end of the season. Saints striker Fran Sandaza is again missing through suspension and Callum Davidson, Chris Millar and Lee Croft are missing through injury. Frontman Cillian Sheridan missed Saturday’s defeat at Motherwell with a virus and Steve Lomas hoped to have him back. Hearts have won only one of the five meetings of the sides this season – in extra-time in the Scottish Cup replay in February. No side has scored more than two goals in the last twelve games between the clubs.
Hibs v Dunfermline Athletic – Monday 7.45pm – Live on ESPN
Hibs only need to avoid defeat against bottom club Dunfermline to ensure they’ll stay up and the Pars are relegated. Hibs are missing suspended pair Leigh Griffiths and David Wotherspoon but have Lewis Stevenson back after his ban. Dunfermline have Alex Keddie suspended. Hibs have won exactly twice as many games between the sides as Dunfermline – 62 against 31. There hasn’t been a home win in the three meetings of the sides this season – an away victory apiece and an East End Park draw in September.
