Kilmarnock 3 Dundee United 1
United got a tongue-lashing from manager Peter Houston as they missed the chance to stay top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League table. Three goals in a nine-minute spell at the start of the second-half put the home side in easy street. First Rory McKenzie took advantage of Barry Douglas' slack pass to beat Rado Cierzniak for the opener. Danny Racchi was then brought down by Gary Mackay-Steven and Borja Perez scored from the spot. Substitute Jude Winchester added a third after Cierzniak had saved Michael Nelson's header. Jon Daly pulled one back for United but it was a bad day for them. However Kilmarnock had their problems too with Gary Harkins stretchered off with a head knock which required five minutes of treatment.
Inverness Caledonian Thistle 2 Celtic 4
An under-strength Celtic side romped comfortably to victory in Inverness. It was the first time they had ever scored four goals away to Caley Thistle and they were ahead early on when Victor Wanyama headed in Adam Matthews’ corner. Filip Twardzik set up youngster Tony Watt for the second and Charlie Mulgrew finished off a well-worked move with number three. Watt drove in the fourth from Emilio Izaguirre’s pass before two late Ross Draper goals put some respectability on the scoreline for the home side.
Dundee 0 Ross County 1
Ross County sealed their first-ever Clydesdale Bank Premier League win thanks to Richard Brittain's penalty-kick. The Staggies skipper entered the club history books by converting from the spot on 71 minutes after Neil McGregor brought down Mark Corcoran. Dundee paid the price for missed chances, with Mark Stewart twice coming close - and Marc Fitzpatrick denied substitute Martin Boyle an equaliser late on. Dundee have just one point and no goals from their opening four Clydesdale Bank Premier League matches.
Hibernian 2 St Johnstone 0
Hibs battled back after being outplayed by Saints to claim three points. Steve Lomas’ side were in total command for the first 40 minutes but passed up chances to take the lead. St Johnstone were made to pay for it when Paul Hanlon headed in Leigh Griffiths’ corner – despite Callum Davidson’s attempts to keep it out on the line. That sent Hibs in at the break in good spirits – and their confidence increased when Eoin Doyle scored at the second attempt after Alan Mannus blocked his first effort. Gregory Tade was denied by home goalkeeper Ben Williams as Hibs made it back-to-back Clydesdale Bank Premier League wins.
Aberdeen 0 Hearts 0 (Sunday)
Aberdeen came close to snatching all three points but couldn't break down a resilient Hearts side. Scott Vernon, Ryan Jack and Rory Fallon all went close to giving them the points but couldn't find a way past Jamie MacDonald. Aberdeen fans claimed a red card for Mehdi Taouil for a foul on Gavin Rae but ref Alan Muir decided it was worthy only of a yellow. Although Hearts tired as time went on following their European tie in midweek, they could have nicked it when Andy Driver's drive rebounded from Jamie Langfield's post in injury-time.
Motherwell 1 St Mirren 1 (Sunday)
Motherwell's European endeavours caught up with them as Saints scored in the third minute of injury-time to claim a Fir Park point. Ex-St Mirren frontman Michael Higdon put the home side ahead after two minutes from Stevie Hammell's long ball but St Mirren were always intent on battling back. Motherwell seemed to have weathered the storm but Shaun Hutchinson was sent off for a second yellow card after 88 minutes - his second red card in four days - and St Mirren took advantage in injury-time. Darren Randolph saved well from Stevie Thompson but Tommy Reilly pounced to drive in the equaliser.
