Clydesdale Bank Community Award
Willie Drever of Westray, Orkney, has been announced as the latest winner of the Clydesdale Bank Community Award.
Willie has been involved with Westray Football Club for a number of years, and was nominated through www.cbfootball.co.uk for the award by Iain MacDonald, an avid Westray FC follower.
Willie is a former Manager of Westray FC and invests a huge amount of his time for the well being of the club, including fund raising, arranging travel and coaching the side.
He has lead Westray into the Parish Cup, the Orkney League (where they won the 3rd division title two seasons ago) as well as into a series of smaller clubs.
Football is thriving in Westray and Westray FC evokes real pride from the local community, with Willie being regarded as central to this success.
William was presented with his award at the Kirkwall Branch of Clydesdale Bank by Branch Manager Shona Reid.
As part of the prize Clydesdale Bank will also donate £100 to Willie's club Westray.
Congratulations to Willie on being a worthy winner of the Clydesdale Bank Community Award.

Community award - your local hero
Football is Scotland's national game, and the SPL clubs are at the heart of their local community. The clubs do a great job with their own programmes of activity, but what about the fans out there that help support football in the community by giving their time, effort or expertise?
Clydesdale Bank want to recognise these people with their Community Award.
It's up to you, the fans, to tell us who you think is deserving of an award. We'll pick out worthy winners who will receive the Community Award, presented to them by a representative from the SPL team they support, and Clydesdale Bank will also donate £100 towards the scheme they are involved with.
Voting is now open, and we'll need you to tell us the following information.
